World number one Roger Federer refuses to be distracted by his bulging list of records as he targets a fourth consecutive title at the Pacific Life Open.

"The matches, the battle with your opponent on centre court, the fans, the excitement: that is it for me.

"If I come through with a win, that's great. But I just try to give myself the best possible chance.
