Democratic drama came to an end in the evening after the fortnight”s period of reckless expenditure on liquor,advertisemnts ,roadshows,election rallies,purchasing the voter cards.In fact politics for many people has become a short cut to wealth and power. Through thease malpractices they open their way to corruption during the coming five years regime.These days elections has become the game of crorepatis . Many of them may be land grabbers,criminals,smugglers.Every politician claims to be the servant of people and talks about the betterment of public.Today every party is boasting of helping the poor by providing then cheap atta and dal and so on. In fact there is a hard competition between all parties to collect big amounts from the poor people of the state. The innocent masses do not know that big guns are making them fools.Today they are spending in crores despite the restrictions made by the Election Commission.Tomorrow they will compensate their money from those people who are sold to day for hundres and thousands and many for one or two bottles of liquor.Election commission is empowered to conduct free and fair poll but it is a pity it cannot help. In fact the need is to educate the public. Common man should learn the meaning of democracy. They should have to say no to liquor ,money and luremen ts shown by the politicians and prefer the honest and fair men who will become the public servants in future . it is upto us that we can come and cut down on the corruption of our country!
